KawanaLife: Helping People

Schools

KawanaLife is involved in all the schools in the Kawana Region, involving some 1500 Families at these schools.

KawanaLife supports Chaplaincy and the Chaplains.  We have people involved in Religious Instruction, Fundraising, and the Local Chaplaincy Committee. We desire to see more people enabled to minister in schools. Come and join a team that is a work on the front line.

Surf Club

For the last 6 Years KawanaLife has developed a good relationship with Kawana Waters Surf Club. In 2010 our Pastor, Dony Johnson became the Club Chaplain, which has continued to build upon and increase the relationship between the Surf Club and KawanaLife. He has also become a Radio Operator and is involved in patrols.

Our aim is to support, encourage and pastorally care for the members of the Surf Club. We aim to be a light for Christ in and amongst a group of people who are passionate about saving lives. It is an exciting ministry.

In 2012 Pastor Dony Johnson was also given the responsiblity of overseeing the growth of Surf Lifesaving Chaplaincy. The goal: a chaplain in every Surf Club on the Sunshine Coast.  Opportunities are open come and join the team. Contact Dony on 07 5437 6332.
