If someone told you that they’ve given you something but you never receive it you’d probably think they hadn’t really given you anything at all! What if you discovered that they really had given you this gift and it was something quite amazing, but you just hadn’t come and got it from that person? It was there all the time, it was yours, you just had to take it. Would you go and get it? Would you be on your way even more quickly if you found out that not only was this gift yours, but this gift would sustain you and give you strength when you most needed it, maybe even before you knew you needed it? Sometimes, to receive something, we need to go and get it. And there are some things we should ‘receive’ without any further delay.
