SURGE is KawanaLife Baptist’s Youth Group. All high schoolers (years 7-12) are welcome.
Surge intends to be a family of like-minded young people who enjoy spending time together learning more about what it means to be a follower of Christ. We enjoy some good times, using interactive and fun ways to get to know each other, but most importantly our saviour Jesus Christ!
We now have a covid-safe plan in place, and you’ll notice the following changes:
- Youth will be welcomed in and “signed in” outside the front door; non-participants should not enter the Greenhouse
- Everyone will be asked if they have any symptoms of Covid-19, and if they do, they will need to return home
- If you want to play Table Tennis, you will be assigned your own bat for the evening.
- There will be no food or drinks provided, please bring a bottle of water
- The games we play will be fewer than before, and they will be non-contact
- We will spend more time talking about a life of faith, and include more bible reading and prayer, so bring a bible if you have one
- When picking up your young person, you will be greeted outside the door by one of the leaders, and your young person will come out.
Please contact us if you would like more information.
For our October outing, enjoy a relaxing morning at La Balsa Park. Enjoy a stroll, catch up with friends, watch the boats. We’ll be in the park close to the Gulai Street corner, near the amenities block.
Bring your own chair, morning tea and lunch.
Contact us if you would like more details.

Tonight is Star Wars night at Surge.
You can come dressed up if you wish (some of the leaders will be).
And if you have never seen Star Wars, never fear (because fear leads to the dark side)! Everything we do on the night will be easily understood by people who have never seen it, so it’s all good. In fact, one of the activities REQUIRES people who have never seen it! We need you!!!
How far, how fast, how high…. actually this time it’s all about how FAST!
Tonight we face off with a series of challenges. Can you meet the challenges? And can you meet them in 60 seconds?
This Zoom meeting will be open for anyone from the QB Movement to attend. Check the eNews you’ll receive on 23 October for the link.
Do you love retro fashion? Tonight it’s Generations Night at Surge – your opportunity to come dressed as someone from the 60s, 70, 80s, 90s or, if you prefer, 2020! We’ll try to guess which generation you are from when you come!
