Kingdom of God

During this week the Commonwealth Games kicked off on the Gold Coast. This year is the 21st edition of the games, which were originally known as The British Empire Games. While any country can apply to join the Commonwealth of Nations today, the British Empire consisted only of current and former colonies of the United Kingdom.

There’s another Kingdom which Jesus speaks of continually in the New Testament – the Kingdom of God. In so many of his parables, Jesus is going to great lengths, explaining what this Kingdom is like.

Do we know what the Kingdom of God is like? Do we know where it is? Do we know when it is going to come?

May God open our eyes and ears to understand the fullness of his kingdom this morning, so that we can enter into it, and receive all he has for us!
