A voice of hope

Hope is a commodity that seems in short supply these days. To a changing world beset with international tensions, economic uncertainty, and cultural and political stratification, it seems that our communities could do with a voice of hope.

That’s where the church can play a key role. In Isaiah 40, the Word of the Lord was spoken to the nation of Israel, who had been conquered and displaced by the Babylonian Empire. To a people that thought they had been abandoned, a voice in the wilderness brought a message of comfort, good news and hope.

We too have a message of good news for the people in our communities. Together we can be a voice of hope in the wilderness.
