Advent is personal

Today, I would like us to pray together:

Father God, we ask that this Advent you would seal, deep within our souls, the true meaning of Your Son’s coming.
Your son, Jesus, came not to entertain. He came not to make a great story. He came to redeem and restore us rebels to you our God.
Advent is personal.
Father God, draw us closer to the heart of our Lord Jesus, which is your own heart, and make His first advent, in all its truth and substance, alive and real in our lives.
