Ambassadors for Christ

In 2 Corinthians 5:20, Paul says that we are Christ’s Ambassadors; we represent Jesus to our generation. I don’t know about you, but that kind of mission fills me with excitement and dread at the same time. When we are going about our everyday lives, the things we say and do are showing others what the Kingdom of God is like.

Whilst this responsibility is sobering, it is also a wonderful privilege. To a world which has so many problems, with loneliness on the rise, social fragmentation the new norm and relationships broken, we can be a voice of hope that shows there is a better way – The Way.

As we continue our series on mission, may we fully embrace our God-given task of the “Ministry of Reconciliation” (2 Cor 5:18). May we tirelessly play our part in people being reconciled to God, and people being reconciled to each other.
