Do right, seek justice

The International Labour Organisation estimates that there are presently 24.9 million people in forced labour exploitation, and 152 million child labourers scattered across the global economy. We live in a broken and bruised world; a world in which injustice stands opposed to God’s heart for His creation.

In the face of such brokenness, it’s easy to feel helpless. After all, what can one person do to fight problems of such magnitude? Thankfully, our voices are stronger together. God calls us to:

Learn to do right; seek justice. Defend the oppressed. Take up the cause of the fatherless; plead the case of the widow. (Isaiah 1:17)

This is just one of more than 2000 references to justice and poverty throughout the Bible.

Be Love Sunday gives us the chance to stop, to pray and to do something about what is happening.

God bless you heaps. We are indeed on and incredible journey.
